Pro · Checkout enforcement
A popup asks. An enabled checkout rule enforces.
When you enable Pro enforcement, a rule on Shopify’s servers blocks restricted Online Store orders without a valid confirmation. A shopper who makes an untrue declaration can still pass.
The ledger records confirmations whether enforcement is on or off. A record alone does not establish that an order completed. Understand checkout enforcement.

Before you choose
Does Hatchway verify identity?
No. Shoppers declare their age. Birth dates stay in the browser and are not sent to Hatchway.
Which checkout does Pro cover?
Hatchway’s enforcement claim covers your Shopify Online Store. Do not assume coverage on marketplaces or other sales channels.
What does a record establish?
It records a confirmation and the context Hatchway received. It is not proof of age or an automatic reconciliation of completed orders.
What if the service is unavailable?
Existing valid confirmations can still pass the checkout rule. New confirmations cannot be issued; the default is to block affected purchases. Pro offers an explicit exception policy.
